Jagna Ciuchta - Dilated I, Liquid Images and Carnivorous Plants

This publication reflects on twelve years of a polymorphic practice that evolves by reconfiguring past projects and their documentation. Since 2011, Ciuchta’s work has grown more complex, incorporating other artists into her ever-changing installations. Through exhibitions, photographs, and occasional fictional texts, her works blur temporalities, spaces, and identities in a state of ambivalent hospitality. ‘Dilated I, Liquid Images and Carnivorous Plants’ embodies the collective, reflexive nature of Ciuchta’s practice. It begins with a visual essay combining contributions from invited artists with images from Ciuchta’s archive, reinforcing the shared authorship central to her work. The publication also features six new essays exploring key moments, processes, and methodologies in her work, alongside twenty portfolios reflecting the unique nature of each project.
