Bs. As. / MDZ

Bs. As. / MDZ brings together photographs by Jelle Jespers, taken during research trips in 2023 and 2025 for the book project Nueva Visión: Graphic Design for the Arts in Argentina 1940–1976 (Hopper&Fuchs, 2026). Shot in transit —while moving between locations—the images capture the city as an ongoing experience.

Through these photographs, Jespers explores the urban environments that inspired the local graphic design between 1940–1976. Moving through Buenos Aires and Mendoza, he records an architectural landscape closely tied to this cultural evolution.

This is a visual diary in which architecture and everyday urban life converge, revealing the spatial and cultural conditions in which these printed works emerged.
